Ways to Give Your Offering and Gifts to St. Matthew’s
Following the guidance of the Governor and our Bishop, St. Matthew’s will be having online worship until further notice.
Meanwhile, you can give your Offering and other gifts to St. Matthew’s several different ways:
1) You can give by mail. Send your Easter Offering, regular offering and other gifts to St. Matthew’s at 15653 Newton Street, Hacienda Heights, CA 91745. The mail is picked up daily from the church’s secured mailbox.
2) You can bring your gift to the church. There is a new locked box on the front door of the church. So, if you would like to take a drive and a short walk, bring your offering and put it in the box on the church’s office door. This locked box is checked daily.
3) You can make an online gift. This is quite easy, and the steps below will help to walk you through the first time. After you’ve done it once or twice you may find it faster than writing a check, addressing the envelope and then putting everything in the mail. A) Click on Donate on the upper right-hand side of the web page. or Click on the link DONATE NOW at the end of these instructions.

B) You will be brought to a screen with “St. Matthew’s UMC Hacienda Heights” at the top.

C) On the left is a place to enter the amount of your gift. On the right is a drop down list of giving choices that starts with “Gifts to Support St. Matthew’s”. One of the choices on the drop down list is “Easter Offering”.
(Other choices on the list include regular offerings to St. Matthew’s, Music Program, UMCOR, Preschool, Trustee Projects, Helping the Hungry and Homeless, . . . .) If you would like to make gifts to several different places, simply click the button that says “+ Add Donation” and a new line will appear.

D) You have a choice of giving directly from your bank or with a credit card. The cost of giving directly from your bank is less than half the cost of a postage stamp.

E) If you make a regular gift to St. Matthew’s such as a pledge, you can set things up so that your gift is automatically given each month or each week.
Additional Online Giving Information
You have a choice of giving directly from your bank or with a credit card.

The credit card processing fees are some of the lowest available. The estimated processing fee will show. Usually this will be between 2.15% and 2.3% of your gift.

The cost of giving directly from your bank is only 25 cents per transaction, less than half the cost of a postage stamp.
If you choose to use give directly from your bank account, you have several choices in how to set this up.

You can instantly verify your account. This button asks you the name of your bank. Then it takes you (through a secure process that includes sending you a security code to confirm) to your bank’s log in screen where you will enter your banking user ID and password.

You can manually verify your account. This is a one-time set up. You will not need to repeat this the next time you give. You will be taken to a screen that asks for your bank routing number and account number. After you enter this information, you will be sent an email with instructions to complete the bank set-up. Your gift will be suspended until the set-up is completed (usually 3-5 business days).
